Multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick is a busy man. He's a member of Portland indie bands Loch Lomond and Horse Feathers, tours with Danish band Efterklang, and has managed to release four solo albums in the last two years alone. What's more, all of those albums were written in different genres for different instruments- and he's only 21. Tonight, hear his new album for strings and piano, Music for Falling from Trees, in its entirety. Also, music from George Gershwin and Aaron Copland.

This is the official video trailer for Peter Broderick's neo-classical contemporary dance soundtrack 'Music for Falling From Trees' (2009). The dance piece premiered at The Place, London as part of Resolution! Dance Festival in January 2009.

唱片簡介---

A quiet room, piano- and violin sounds, nothing else but piano and violin sounds meet the soundwall of elegance, a sound based on two instruments: piano and violin.

The album Songs For Falling From Trees developped as instrumental concept for the theater programm Falling From Trees. This time, Peter was on tour and had almost no time to record the album: He recorded it in 3 weeks (!) and improvised the huge part of this album. This work is very satisfying in spite of the time pressure and is able to compete against every challenger in the range of neo-classical and contemporary classical music. The songs are very minimalistic and are made of only those two instruments, it's because of Adrienne Hart (choreography Falling From Trees).

Wunderful melancholic piano parts meet rich and very atmospheric violins and arragne so well. Peter improves again how skilled he is on almost every instrument and almost every kind of music.
