Allready known around Oslos rock scene as a kick ass rock and country band, Shit City released in may 2007 their critically acclaimed debut album, God Bless Our Home. The release was followed by a number of gigs around the country, visiting both festivals (Down On The Farm, Vinstra Country Music Festival, Øyafestival) and smaller music clubs as a headliner. Sharing stage with among others Gillian Welch, John Paul Jones, Flaming Lips and Drive-by Truckers gave Shit City the opportunity to reach a wider audience and the year ended with a nomination for best country act at the Norwegian grammy awards. No price was taken home but for the 8 piece ensemble it had been a remarkable year.
