<P align=center><BR> 在现实的唱片市场中，有人孤芳自赏，成了一片明星；也有人频频出击，在排行榜的名次始终不坠。而 David Lanz 大卫·蓝兹 就是属于后者。1983年 David Lanz 大卫·蓝兹 推出了首张作品《Heartsounds》，他认为新世纪音乐应该要将缥缈的特质，与传统音乐温暖、动听的特性合而为一。所以在这张作品中展现了极旺盛的企图心，但是因为缺乏经验，感觉起来有点青涩，不过他对新旧音乐的结合，给了乐坛很大的启示。<BR> 即使当时从事新世纪音乐的乐手不是很多，David Lanz 大卫·蓝兹 却不敢掉以轻心，非常认真的面对日益激烈的竞争。84年的第二张作品《Nightfall》诠释出夜幕低垂的昏黄时刻，低调而灰暗、幽远的情趣与第一张的铿锵有力大为不同。多产的他，85年又出了一张《Solstice》，不过这次是与Narada元老乐手钢琴家 Michael Jones 出的合辑，只有四首歌的作品，两人各占一半，表现精彩旗鼓相当，其中一首《Improvisation On Theme》长达12分钟，充分表现他古典音乐的深厚根基。88年的《Cristofori's Dream 钢琴发明家梦想》是 David Lanz 大卫·蓝兹 最畅销的金唱片作品，这是为了纪念钢琴发明家，意大利籍的Bartolomeo Cristofori（1655~1731）所作，也是他尝试加入其它乐器的声音，如长笛、打击乐器、电子键盘，与他瑰丽的钢琴主奏互相辉映。从他这张冠军专辑后，他与其它钢琴明星，如 George Winston、Suzanne Cianni 等人并驾齐驱，成为票房保证。 <BR> 为了寻求突破，90年的《Skyline Firedance》实验性的同时收录了钢琴版和交响乐版，成了两张一套的双专辑。用不同的方式诠释相同的内容，David Lanz 大卫·蓝兹 给乐迷选择和比较的空间，也是他跻身大师级人物的最佳献礼，91年的《Return to The Heart》包含了17首作品，代表他游历荷兰、西班牙、意大利、德国等欧游心情，不管是古色古香，或是宗教情怀，或是意大利的浪漫，他的表现都如行云流水一般优美动人。<BR> 这许多年来，David Lanz 大卫·蓝兹 除了不断发表个人创作外，也和吉他手兼制作人 Paul Speer 出了三张合辑，85年的《Natural States》，主题多变如多种自然地形，令人目不暇接；87年的《Desert Vision》，华丽而繁复的电子键盘，透着些许的前卫摇滚。</P>
