This is a wonderful CD with eight gorgeous compisitions with sounds from around the globe. The songs are like stories being told to you. Troika are a New Age group being lead by composer David Arkenstone. This CD is a very nice one to play when going to bed because the music is soothing and almost romantic.
這張如夢似幻的《Faeries 仙境幻想》是 Troika 卓伊卡 系列的第三張專輯，發行於1999年，全名是《Faeries: A Realm Of Magic And Enchantment 仙境幻想:魔法王國》。該系列是著名新世紀音樂家 David Arkenstone 大衛·阿肯斯通 的一套極有口碑作品。
與同類作品不同的地方在於，David Arkenstone 大衛·阿肯斯通 似乎並不僅僅滿足於通過音樂表現某一國家獨有的文化傳說中的仙境。比如，按道理他作為西方人，音樂中的魔法王國應該以西方傳統神話故事裏的描述為基礎，但是八支曲目裏第三軌《The Healing Spirits 愈療精靈》和第四軌《The Magic Fountain 魔法泉水》卻分明向聽者勾勒了一個充滿中國色彩的仙境；而第二軌《The Jewels of the Faeries 仙女寶石》和第五軌《The Garden Under the Sea 海底花園》又極富凱爾特情調；第一軌《The Magic Birdcage 魔法鳥籠》和第六軌《The Star Maiden 純凈之星》的音符間無不流露出北美原住民的情懷……相信如果大家仔細聆聽的話，會比我發現更多。
David Arkenstone 大衛·阿肯斯通 以及他的前妻 Diane Arkenstone 戴安娜·阿肯斯通 的作品總是滿載對世界各個文明的關註，除這裏介紹的 Troika 卓伊卡 系列外，Ah Nee Mah 阿尼瑪 系列是如此，Adventure Cargo 系列也是如此。正因為他們這種對各種文化兼容並包的態度，才使得他們的音樂在世界 New Age 範圍內經久不衰，備受矚目！（西爾德斯神話）
