He released his debut single "Now" in 2009 on RGK Records, taken from his 2009 debut album Introducing Steven Lee Olsen. He followed his debut single withrelease of another single "Make Hay While the Sun Shines" and both singles have charted on the R&R Canadian country charts reaching the top 20. Olsen has also written songs for American singers Craig Morgan and Melissa Lawson, as well as the single "Street Lights" for Swedish Idol winner Kevin Borg.
